Production Specialist - CI - Lean - 5S - Manufacturing - Process - West Sussex - £35k + Excellent Benefits

A global leader in the field of biotechnology are looking an experienced Production Specialist to be part of their successful team in West Sussex. You will be responsible for the department's structure, production results in the working environment and overall procedures.

Responsibilities:

*Own developmental growth by planning upgrading manufacturing capabilities and increasing efficiency, managing projects around capacity increase, automation and lean.

*Lead training and qualification of the production team to acquire all necessary skills to operate, maintain, changeover and troubleshoot equipment autonomously in a safe and quality manner.

*Perform validation activities on site regarding process and equipment validation in Manufacturing and own the label database.

*Ensure PPI tools are utilised for continuous improvement on site, including implementing and maintaining TPM, RCCM and 5S.

*Take accountability for the results of the department, operating principles, and that the operating systems are followed and maintained at all times.

*Support the Production Manager in change and CAPA activities.

*Establish and maintain the standards for the department for safety, quality, appearance, and other operating systems.

*Join daily direction for the departments by effectively supporting tiered meetings
This will include, but is not limited to:

oReviewing daily results to establish gaps and priorities.
oDevelop and execute daily plans to execute maintenance, close-out gaps/problems, and execute systems to deliver goals.
oLead troubleshooting of open barriers to the root-cause.
oSupport the Production Leads/Supervisors/teams in resolution of barriers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

*Production/operations background, proficient in applying lean tools.

*Experienced with validation activities.

*High level of technical skills and the ability to train/coach others.

*Attention to detail and a systematic approach.

*Effective in technical and organisational troubleshooting to root cause.

*Able to communicate effectively within and between teams and is effective in giving and receiving/acting upon feedback.

*Should also be able to demonstrate the following skills/capabilities:

oDelivering consistent results by being action oriented, demonstrating organisational agility, planning effectively and setting priorities.
oNavigating complex challenges by understanding/troubleshooting issues, setting clear priorities and direction, involving and aligning internal and external resources. Creating collaborative relationships by developing strong work relationships, displaying integrity and building trust.
