Role:
As the Sales Manager for Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria, you will assume full responsibility for our client's equipment range serving the Laboratory Animal Science sector including offering ergonomically, sound solutions for animal technicians’ protection against LAA (Laboratory Animal Allergen) with our client's new innovative climate control system.

Our client is seeking an experienced and effective individual with a high level of personal adaptability who will maintain and maximise the good business relationships the company has established and create an environment for new business to flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key point of contact for customers, responsible for business processing, customer service and our client’s turnover in your sales territory.
  • Account management across Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria
  • Building sustainable and long-term customer relationships and maintaining personal contact with specialists and decision makers in the field of animal research, especially to institutions of Laboratory Animal Science at universities
  • Meeting or exceeding turnover goals
  • Project listing, tender preparation and pricing proposals, direct negotiations with customers
  • Visiting customers on site, attending meetings and congresses as well as leading product trainings for customers
  • In collaboration with the Manager creating budgets and forecasts for your sales territory.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Successful completion of scientific/ technical degree or equivalent technical training 
  • Solid experience in technical project sales, ideally in the biomedical or medical field 
  • Organised, strategic and goal orientated
  • Competent and professional manner with a strong customer focus and high quality standards.
  • Confident in developing technical solutions, in managing large projects and in familiarising yourself with complex laboratory architecture
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presenting skills
  • Experienced IT user
  • Must have thorough understanding of finance planning and revenue forecasts
  • Reliable, goal and success oriented person with good analytical skills, initiative and assertiveness. 
  • You must have high integrity along with a professional demeanour and a desire to ensure success.
  • Willingness to travel
